Two American Top Team Coconut Creek mixed martial arts fighters will be moving up in the rankings after impressive wins Thursday night at UFC Fight Night 13 in front of a sellout crowd at Broomfield, Colo.

Brazilians Thiago "Pit Bull" Alves and Marcus Aurelio won their non-title three-round matches.

The 24-year-old Alves (19-4) got a second round TKO at the 34-second mark of his welterweight fight.

Alves tagged Karo Parisyan (25-5) with a left knee and finished him with four straight right punches to the head and body before the referee stepped in.

"He was out, I dropped him with the knee, it wasn't premature," Alves said. "Whatever, I won it. I had a slow first round but came back strong. I am right at the top with the best guys. I am here to fight anyone."

Aurelio (15-5) won his lightweight bout with a 16-second armlock over Ryan Roberts (14-3-1).

UFC veteran Din Thomas (23-8), also of ATT, lost a decision to Josh Neer (23-7-1) in a lightweight bout.

In the main event, Kenny Florian (11-3) moved into the forefront of the lightweight picture with a second round TKO over Joe Lauzon (15-4).
