Fedor vs Sylvia plus Matt Lindland on July Affliction Card
Written by BloodyElbow.com
Sunday, 20 April 2008 00:37

Fedor has now "officially" signed to fight Tim Sylvia at the first Affliction event in July.

But that's not all, the card will also feature Matt Lindland against TBA. No opponent has been named but Lindland has revealed who's on his wish list:

When asked by reporter Ron Kruck about who he would be fighting, Lindland indicated that while the names of several fighters have been tossed around, an opponent has yet to sign a contract to fight him. Kruck responded by asking Lindland who he'd like to fight, and he then proceeded to mention both former UFC middleweight champion Murilo Bustamante as well as David Terrell, another former UFC middleweight.

Add those two matches to the rumored murderers row of top heavyweights including Andrei Arlovski, Josh Barnett, Ben Rothwell, and Aleksander Emelianenko and you're well into too good to be true territory.

Let's hope that Fedor didn't sign this deal in magical disappearing ink and that it doesn't fall apart like the Affliction/Golden Boy alliance.

Update [2008-4-19 20:35:29 by Kid Nate]:

Not so fast says Monte Cox:

Emelianenko, Fighters.com’s fifth-ranked heavyweight, must repay the $1.5 million signing bonus to the group that formed M-1 Global in October 2007 before he is officially released from the agreement he made with M-1 Global.

C'mon Fedor
written by Shaun Stoffer, May 13, 2008
Fedor is consider the top 5 if not number one heavyweight in the world. But let's be real here what do fighters do? Anyone? Fight! Ever since the end of Pride Fedors hasn't had a legit fight.

Hong-Man Choi's got nothing but size. He's not in it for the love of fighting, he's in it for the money.
Matt Lindland's truly a middleweight not heavy.
Fedor to be honest could possibly dropped to 205 but he's fine for now at heavy.

C'mon seriously he's been getting offers from everyone: Bodog, UFC, M-1 Global, Dream, it's ridiculous.

Everyone wants to see him versus Randy Couture. I don't care if it's in a backyard Kimbo style let's just make it happen.
